So here's how my holidays are going by!

After toiling for (only the)  half of october and half of november ( i.e a month *genius*),  the battle began. We reached the battlegrounds with our pens, fought the paper, with every question giving that filthy look of " so you think you can beat me, huh?".

I passed by each and every exam keeping the calendar in front of me, with the 17th of november circled with the blackest pen available in the universe. It was that light, that beam, that ray of hope that drove me till the end. Finally it arrived: the "super seventeenth". 

But then i realised, these holidays were nothing but just like an oasis. It was actually that distant waterhole that drove the famished traveller towards it! Because in the end, as the holidays are passing by, I am coming face to face with the fact that holidays aren't that much of a fun especially when you're unemployed and in the third year of your engineering with companies coming to tweeze you next semester (probably!!) that is, in case you have passed (again, probably).

We have been asked to woo the companies with our 4 page resumes which hardly are single paged at the end of this semester. So that's the problem with my holidays. I need a job because my parents have been feeding me since the last 20 years and would like to become independent before their hair and pockets vanish! Therefore, sadly, my holidays are being utilised in building the remaining three pages of my resume. Wish i had given such a good reasoning in my networks paper!

But, you see, this is not the problem. The real problem is, I'm too fun loving and lazy a person. Yes, it may seem an antithesis, but for me, fun is dawdling around and watching movies.When I did that, I felt guilty of wasting my time and when I sat on my computer, I couldn't sit for more than a few seconds. I was in a messy state of mind which is obviously not the gist of a vacation.

So, finally I accepted my fate and made up my mind to do something wothwhile of the time. I thought of a great project in visual C++ but when I sat to implement it, I ended up copying a demo project from the text book. Nonetheless, the second page of my resume just began.

But then, period. Literally. That's all I have done so far. I have started creating a website in partnership with my friend too, but I usually end up torturing him to death to complete it, while i sit and type this blog! poor guy, but he should've known who he's joining hands with!  

Well, I have reached the oasis and there is no water! So, now I'll take leave. TV time. I don't know about water, but there sure is wine!;)
